THE FRONTIER
Open-source competitive intelligence for Pokémon Champions VGC
The Frontier is a free, fan-built toolkit for competitive Pokémon Champions players. It was built because the game deserved serious tools — not paywalled simulators or watered-down Pokédexes. Everything here is free, always.
Before a single move is made, you face your opponent's 6 Pokémon and must choose which 4 to bring. This 60-second decision often determines the match. The Draft Simulator exists to help you train that decision.
Build any matchup from scratch. Select your 6 and your opponent's 6 from the full Champions roster. Practice the pick 4 decision against any team composition you want to prepare for.
Paste a pokepast.es URL or raw paste text for either side. Instantly loads real teams with their actual moves, items, abilities, and SP spreads. Test your team against tournament teams or share scenarios with teammates.
When both sides are loaded from Pokepaste, a full damage matrix generates automatically. See which of your Pokémon threatens which opponents, what KOs you can guarantee, and which Pokémon on their team walls yours. Calculations use real final stats with SP and nature modifiers applied.
The Frontier pulls usage data directly from live Champions tournament results and Limitless rankings. This data updates automatically — no manual curation, no guesswork.
Tier placements and archetype descriptions are editorial — they reflect our best read of the meta, informed by the same data you can see in Usage Stats. When you disagree, you're probably right. VGC is evolving fast.
The Frontier is a non-profit fan project, built by players for players. There are no ads, no premium tiers, no paywalls. Every tool is free. The project is open source — contributions, corrections, and feedback are welcome.
